This is the “proper” Boquete version: you get enough time to enjoy the mountains at a real pace—one full day for coffee and local flavor, one full day for nature (waterfalls, trails, viewpoints), and one day that is intentionally slow so the trip feels restorative, not like you are checking boxes.

Hotel Panamonte is a classic boutique mountain stay with gardens, cool highland air, and a strong food identity. Your stay includes daily breakfast paired with Boquete’s internationally known gourmet coffee (custom blend for Panamonte), free Wi-Fi, and complimentary water in-room. Evenings are simple here: you come back from the day, slow down, and enjoy a proper dinner in a setting that matches the mountain vibe.

Getting there (arrival options): You can land either in Panama City (PTY) or Río Hato (RIH). You can add ground transportation to your trip in the Activities section during checkout. For Hotel Panamonte, an additional $200 flat supplement applies on top of the transportation price shown in your cart due to the longer distance. Travel time is approximately 8 hours by car from PTY or 5 hours by car from RIH. If you prefer to shorten the journey, we can also coordinate a private flight (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes) or helicopter transfer (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes). To arrange any transportation option, contact us through Services → Private Transportation, and we will coordinate the best solution for your schedule.

This itinerary is intentionally balanced: two signature days (coffee and nature) plus a true slow day in the middle so you can enjoy Boquete without rushing.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival & Boquete Village

Arrive in Boquete and check in at Hotel Panamonte. Settle into the gardens and cool air, then take a relaxed walk through town. Dinner on property.

Day 2 — Coffee Day (Boquete’s Signature)

Coffee experience with tastings and the story behind why Boquete is famous for beans. Back to the hotel for a slow afternoon—gardens, lounge time, or just doing nothing. Finish with a proper dinner at Panamonte.

Day 3 — Waterfalls / Trails + Mountain Views

A full nature day: waterfall trail or scenic hiking depending on your comfort level. Lunch with mountain views, then back to Panamonte to recover and enjoy the evening.

Day 4 — Slow Day (No Pressure)

This is your buffer day to make the trip feel like a retreat: sleep in, long breakfast, town browsing, gardens, and an unhurried dinner. If you want something structured, this is the best day to add a guided outing.

Day 5 — Breakfast & Departure

Unhurried breakfast with Boquete gourmet coffee, final garden stroll, check out and depart.
