This version is the ideal “Panama City + golf” pace: one full golf day, one full city day, and enough time to enjoy the hotel properly instead of just sleeping there.
You will stay at The Santa Maria, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Golf Resort, an urban resort with the essentials included for a clean experience: daily breakfast at the restaurant, complimentary wireless Internet, pool and gym access, a 24-hour business center, and coffee/tea/water in the room. The centerpiece is Santa María Golf Club, an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Nicklaus Design, offering pristine conditions and a serious but enjoyable layout.
Your golf day is straightforward: standard green fee includes golf cart, practice area access, and two bottles of water, with rentals available if needed. We also plan around the course maintenance window (Mondays 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
Day 1 — Arrival & Easy Start
Arrive in Panama City and check in at The Santa Maria. Unwind with the pool or a quick gym session, then dinner either at the hotel or in the city (skyline dinner works well on night one).
Day 2 — Golf Day (Santa María Golf Club)
Morning tee time at Santa María Golf Club. Post-round lunch, then a recovery-focused afternoon: pool, spa, or downtime. Relaxed dinner to close out the day.
Day 3 — Panama Canal + Casco Viejo
A clean “best-of” city day: start with the Panama Canal for the scale and history, then head to Casco Viejo for culture, a walkable old-town afternoon, and a proper dinner and drinks in the evening.
Day 4 — Leisure Morning & Departure
Breakfast, a final slow morning at the hotel, check out and departure.
